England vs Montenegro Match Details
England vs Montenegro kicks-off at Wembley at 19.45 on Thursday 14 November
England have had a couple of wobbles in qualifying for Euro 2020, but bounced back from a 2-1 defeat in the Czech Republic to destroy Bulgaria 6-0 in Bulgaria.
They were also tested by Kosovo in a 5-3 win at Wembley, but England have managed a 5-0 win against the Czech Republic and a 4-0 win against Bulgaria.
Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane have done the majority of the goal-scoring at Wembley during their three home matches, scoring five goals each, and scoring in all three games. Sancho grabbed two goals against Kosovo, whilst the other two were own goals.
Montenegro put up some fair performances in their opening three matches of Euro 2020 qualifying, drawing 1-1 in Bulgaria and 1-1 at home against Kosovo. In between those results they lost 5-1 at home to England, but that did at least mean they scored in those opening three games.
But they’ve regressed since, failing to score in their last four games, which included defeats to the Czech Republic (twice) and Kosovo, whilst they draw 0-0 against Bulgaria.
England vs Montenegro Head-To-Heads
England and Montenegro have played each other five times before, but the first three of those ended as draws. Two of those were in Montenegro, whilst England were also held to a 0-0 draw in their first clash at Wembley.
But England are now bidding for a hat-trick of wins against Montenegro after beating them 4-1 and 5-1 the last twice they’ve met.
It was Ross Barkley that grabbed two goals in Montenegro earlier this year, whilst Keane, Sterling, and Kane were also on the scoresheet.
