Chelsea vs Spurs Match Details
Chelsea vs Spurs kicks-off at Stamford Bridge at 12.30 on Saturday 22 February. The match is being broadcast live on BT Sport 1.
Chelsea come into this match on the back of a disappointing home defeat to Manchester United and that means Chelsea have taken just two points from their last four Premier League games.
Another worry for Chelsea is their current home form, which from the end of November reads 0-1 West Ham, 2-1 Aston Villa, 0-1 Bournemouth, 0-2 Southampton, 3-0 Burnley, and 0-2 Manchester United.
That’s two wins and four defeats in their last four home games, a period in which they’ve failed to score four times and kept just one clean sheet.
Tottenham come into this match in their best run of form of the season, having recorded five wins and two draws in all competitions since their 0-1 home defeat by Liverpool at the beginning of January.
That run includes away draws at Watford and Southampton, who were both in decent form at the time, whilst Aston Villa had won two of their two previous home games before Tottenham beat them at Villa Park last weekend.
Tottenham have failed to score just once in that run but have also kept just two clean sheets.
Chelsea vs Tottenham Head-To-Heads
This Saturday’s match will be the second time Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has taken on his former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, and he won the first round by motivating his team to a well-deserved 2-0 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Willian was sublime that day, scoring twice and firing passes from long range all over the pitch with pinpoint accuracy, but he’s not performed as well since.
Chelsea also won last season’s corresponding fixture 2-0, but it was Tottenham who won 3-1 at Stamford Bridge the previous season, a winning score-line they repeated at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last season.
