Table-toppers Chelsea travel to third-placed Manchester City this weekend for the Premier League’s headline game, and we’ve tips for that match, as well as Crystal Palace vs Southampton, West Brom vs Watford, West Ham vs Arsenal, and Bournemouth vs Liverpool.
Manchester City vs Chelsea (Saturday 12.30)
Manchester City have definitely had the upper-hand in this fixture in recent seasons, winning 5 of the last 6 renewals. However, despite their recent home victory over Barcelona, they have been stuttering in the Premier League with home draws against Middlesbrough, Southampton and Everton. Meanwhile, without any European distractions, Chelsea have clicked into top-gear with 7 consecutive Premier League wins, three of those against Middlesbrough, Southampton and Everton. Chelsea’s recent run is even more impressive when you consider they have conceded just 1 goal in those 7 games, and that was against a Spurs side that also managed to beat City earlier in the season. Collateral form doesn’t always matter in these top-of-the-table clashes – but, if it does, then Chelsea are certainly no 27/10 shots.

Crystal Palace vs Southampton (Saturday 3.00)
Crystal Palace desperately need to stop a run of 6 straight defeats, and they’ll take some hope from the fact they won this fixture last year. However, look back further and history tells us that Southampton won the three matches before that. Southampton may not be playing great but, as they’ve won their last two games, 13/10 is a fair price.

West Brom vs Watford (Saturday 3.00)
The last 3 renewals have produced a win for both teams and a draw, whilst 3 of the last 5 fixtures between the two teams have been draws. West Brom have also drawn 4 of their last 8 games and, though Watford have drawn just 2 of their last 7, the draw looks the value-bet at 12/5.

West Ham vs Arsenal (Saturday 5.30)
West Ham managed to take 4 points off Arsenal last season, but last year’s home draw was preceded by 4 straight defeats. 3 of those 5 games did produce at least 4 goals though, which 4 of the last 7 Arsenal matches have, and 2 of West Ham’s last 3.

Bournemouth vs Liverpool (Sunday 1.30)
If form is anything to go by, Liverpool look to have the easiest task of the title-contenders this week. They’ve beaten Bournemouth on all 4 occasions they’ve met, 2 in the league and 2 in the cup – and 4/5 looks the best bet of the weekend’s action.
