A Review Of Sportsbet.com.au

Sportsbet is one of the largest online betting companies in Australia. Opened in 1993, it remained a relatively small company until 2005, after which it rapidly grew in popularity to eventually become the country’s largest corporate bookmaker in 2012. Today, it is still one of the most popular betting agencies in Australia.

Odds and Markets

For a long time, a major advantage Sportsbet has had over competitors is its wide array of markets. They offer markets on anything and everything to do with the most popular sports, while even the most innocuous of sporting events can be found on the site.

The odds themselves are competitive without being industry-leading. For AFL games, for example, game lines will be offered at $1.92, while NRL lines come in at $1.90. There are various agencies which will offer better odds than this for the same thing, but equally it’s far from the worst in the industry.

Bonuses and Promotions

Sportsbet generally offers a relatively wide range of offers and promotions. One which they have been running with for a long time is the first bet bonus, which allows members (excluding those from Vic, NSW, WA and SA) to receive a bonus bet equivalent to their first bet up to $501. They have also been offering immediate payouts on AFL head-to-head bets when your team leads by 24 points throughout the year, as well as money back in the form of a bonus bets for four leg multis across all sports and racing when you lose by a solitary leg. On top of that, they have been intermittently putting out enhanced odds for certain events in recent times, though this has been available only on the mobile app,

Website and Mobile app

The online Sportsbook is one of the most user-friendly in the industry. It is very simple to navigate, laying everything out in a way which makes it as easy as possible to find what you’re looking for. The mobile app is also high quality, and equally makes it very straightforward to access whatever it is that you need. Finally, there is a mobile site, which more closely mirrors the website itself than the app. Overall, the accessibility of the markets and ease of use of the websites and app is an area in which Sportsbet excels above most of its competitors.

Deposit and Withdrawal Options

As with most bookmakers, depositing funds into your Sportsbet account is relatively straightforward. Probably the easiest method is to add your credit or debit card to your account, subsequently enabling you to deposit immediately, but other options include Bank Transfer, Paypal, Poli, Skrill, BPay, and the Sportsbet cash card (more on this below).

They also offer a similarly comprehensive list of ways to withdraw. You can do this via credit card, Bank Transfer, Paypal, Skrill, or the Sportsbet cash card. Prior to doing this you’ll need to verify your account with 100 points worth of identification, but after this the process is relatively easy and you’ll generally have the money within a day or two.

Customer Support

Sportsbet offers all of the forms of customer support that are generally offered by bookmakers. The quickest and easiest of these is live chat, which enables you to have your queries responded to immediately in a small conversation window. You can also send emails, though this is generally a longer process, or, if you prefer to talk to a real person, you can call their free phone number from 8am to 11pm every day of the week except Sunday, and 9am to 9pm on Sunday. They also have a Twitter account, a Postal address, and a series of FAQ which can be accessed on the site.

Other Features

One notable other feature offered by Sportsbet is live streaming. Though this is becoming part and parcel of many betting sites, the live streaming on the Sportsbet is relatively comprehensive and includes a number of soccer leagues, cricket ODI’s, as well as various tennis events and basketball leagues. Any signed up member can access these streams provided they have any sum of money in their account, however small.

The Sportsbet cash card, mentioned above, is another feature which separates them from other bookmakers. All members with an up to date Australian address can have a Sportsbet cash card sent to them in the mail. When you have money in your Sportsbet account, you can choose to have it withdrawn to your Sportsbet card. This withdrawal occurs immediately, and the card can then be used at an ATM to have immediate access to your winnings. This eliminates the need for transfer periods which are always prevalent when attempting to access your money via another method.

There is a reason Sportsbet is such a successful company. Though their odds are not industry-leading, they are very reasonable, and everything else offered by the group is as comprehensive as it gets. They are easily contactable, offer a wide range of promotions, have an easy-to-use website and mobile app, and make it simple to deposit and withdraw. Overall, Sportsbet is a high quality bookmaker and is certainly worth considering as your primary betting site.
