The deal will see Betway continue with its goal to expand in German football, having already struck sponsorships with four Bundesliga 2 clubs; St. Pauli, Union Berlin, Eintracht Braunschweig, Dynamo Dresden.
This new arrangement is part of Betway’s pledge to market themselves to a larger audience via major football clubs around Europe; similar to its presence in the United Kingdom with their sponsor of West Ham United.
Current Sales Director of Werder Bremen, Christian Rauhut, said: “Betway are one of the leading online bookmakers in Europe and we’re thrilled to be partnering with them. It emphasises the power of our brand that Betway have selected Werder Bremen as a partner, as they take the next step in the highest German league. We are really excited about the co-operation.”
Betway’s, marketing and operations Director, Anthony Werkman, said: “We are really happy to announce our latest partnership with Werder Bremen. The Bundesliga is at the forefront of world football and we’re delighted to be a part of it.
“With a number of football sponsorship deals in place, the season ahead is a very exciting one for us. We’re very much looking forward to increasing our involvement in German football, especially with a top club like Bremen as they head into the 2017/18 campaign.”
Along with this deal, Betway have also declared themselves as the official betting partner of RSC Anderlecht, whom are currently champions of Belgium’s First Division A, and also the sponsor of Belgium’s very own Corky Cup.
