Sunday’s week 10 NFL games this week feature a matchup of mediocrity between the Washington Football Team (2-6) and the Detroit Lions (3-5). Neither team has played well this season but we think the Detroit Lions will come out on top here.
The Washington Football Team (formerly known as the Washington Redskins) have their only two wins this year against division rivals in the NFC East which is the weakest division in football. Their week 1 victory against the Philadelphia Eagles and their 25-3 drubbing of the Dallas Cowboys in week 8 seem more like anomalies than anything else. They’ve shown no consistency this season losing their most recent game against the New York Giants, a team trying desperately to battle out from the cellar of the division.
The Detroit Lions aren’t THAT much better, but they are at least a little better. The Lions began the season with a close loss to the Chicago Bears, followed by a drubbing by the Green Bay Packers. They upset the Arizona Cardinals and actually played the New Orleans Saints tight, losing by two field goals before defeating the Falcons and Jaguars in consecutive games. Most recently they faced the Minnesota Vikings and came out on the losing end by two touchdowns but the Vikings are a sneaky-good team. Certainly better than the New York Giants team that Washington faced.
Based on prior performance and the fact that former Washington player, Adrian Peterson has something to prove, we like the Lions to assert themselves in this game and see the odds we’re getting on Fox Bet as generous.
