Week 4 of the NFL season has us just about ¼ of the way through the season and teams are just starting to assert themselves within their respective divisions. The Chicago Bears lost their first game of the season last Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts 19-11. The Colts, with their league-leading defense, were able to exploit quarterback, Nick Foles and the Chicago Bears offense and hold them to only 11 points.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are coming off three straight wins after dropping their season opener. Led by future Hall of Fame quarterback, Tom Brady, the Bucs’ offense has been on fire. The hurdle they’ll have to overcome is the fact that a few of their top players are injured and questionable at best for a start on Thursday night. Receivers Chris Goodwin and Mike Evans were given Monday’s practice time off and there’s no telling if they’ll be back and healthy enough to play on Thursday. Tight end O.J. Howard injured his achilles will be out for the rest of the season so that will also add to the beleaguered Bucs offense.
They say that defense wins football games and using that train of thought we’re siding with the Bucs to take Thursday night’s game. Tampa Bay will pose a similar threat to Chicago’s offense that the Colts were able to pick apart on Sunday and despite the injuries, Tom Brady on offense is always a threat.
