This Sunday, the New York Jets (0-6) will try to salvage at least one game this season with a win vs. the Buffalo Bills (4-2) but if they’re going to make a run at their first win this year they’ll have to shake off some of the rust that some of their returning players may have. Sam Darnold, Mekhi Becton, Denzel Mims and Bryce Hall are all returning to practice and they’re hoping that a few, if not all of those players ready for this Sunday’s game. They’ll still be missing left guard, Alex Lewis who is nursing a shoulder injury.
There are questions surrounding the Buffalo Bills and their running game. While Bills quarterback Josh Allen has had a promising start to the season, their running game is still weak. They opened the season with a 27-17 win over these Jets and followed that up with wins against the Dolphins and the Raiders. They’ve only lost to the Tennessee Titans and last season’s Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs, most recently.
Based on their recent performance, and despite any hype surrounding the Jets returning players, we feel like the Buffalo Bills will dominate this game from start to finish. The 27-17 score that they defeated the Jets by in the first game of the season was a much more lopsided win than the score reflects. The Bills are also coming off a loss to a very good team in the Chiefs. Normally, teams come back hungrier after facing a top team.
