If you’ve not heard of Betclic before, don’t worry, as our review revealed it has actually been around since 2005. One of the main reasons you might not have heard of it is that it was initially focused on the French betting market. However, it has more recently secured a license in the United Kingdom to allow it to offer its services to bettors in the UK.
It’s main selling points are the chance to bet pre-event and in-play on many top sporting events. You’ll also have the option to cash out early on some bets and win bonuses on your accumulators.

Key Facts about Betclic
If you’re thinking about becoming a member at Betclic, here are a few facts you may want to consider before you do:
No Customer Welcome Bonus
If you’re looking for a welcome bonus to encourage you to sign up to Betclic, you’ll be disappointed to know there isn’t one. But you may still be interested in signing up as it does offer a decent accumulator concession that could help you significantly boost your winnings.
If you like placing accumulators with five or more selections, Betclic’s Multi+ concession could earn you between 5% and 100% more winnings. The 5% bonus applies to accas with five selections and you need 16 or more selections to earn the 100% bonus.
Please read all the terms and conditions, but one of the most important ones is that each individual selection must be at odds of 1.2 or greater. The other is that the maximum bonus is €10,000.
Ease of Use
Betclic is available across all platforms including desktop and mobile. The colour schemes are a little different, with the desktop being red, grey and black, whilst the mobile site had adopted a brighter red and white design.
The desktop version doesn’t have the typical list of sports down the left-hand side that most modern bookmaking sites have. Instead, it has header bard shortcuts to football, basketball, tennis, ice hockey and other sports. Annoyingly, clicking on the other sports tab does not bring up a list of sports.
The mobile platform is much better, and you’ll find it optimises instantly to all the latest mobile phones and other mobile devices. The homepage highlights some of the most current popular markets and you can click on the sports tab on the footer bar to reveal a top competitions menu and a list of all the available sports. Simply click on the sport you want to reveal further choices. All you need to do then is click on a selection to start a bet slip. Alternatively, you can download the mobile app.
The sign-up process should only take a few minutes on any platform, whilst you can view the desktop site in English, Portuguese, and Polish.
Range of Sports
Betclic offers betting on 28 sports and these range from martial arts to motor sports and football to volleyball.
As we love our horse racing here at Betting Gods, it’s a shame that Betclic does not offer betting on horse racing. However, it does cover a big range of global football markets. It also covers other sports we love like tennis, basketball, American football, baseball, boxing, and golf.
At the time our Betclic review, football betting was being offered in 42 countries including all the top European Leagues such as Serie A and La Liga. It also offers a decent range of markets on each match, with over 140 markets on a typical English Premier League match.
You’ll also find that all the weekly top tennis and golf action is covered, whilst boxing covers title fights and other fights. You can explore a variety of American sports markets.
As well as pre-event betting, Betclic has a dedicated live betting page where you can bet in-play on sports like football, volleyball, and handball. Betclic even offers a cash out option on some bets.
There are three ways of seeking support at Betclic, with the quickest method being live chat. This service is available from 10.00 – 23.00 (CET) and the response time is quoted as immediate. Outside of live chat opening hours, you can use email to contact the support team and all emails will be responded to within 24 hours.
The other alternative is to browse the FAQ section for any answers you may be looking for. This covers a variety of topics such as bets, bonuses, and banking.
Our Overall Rating: 2.5 out of 5.0
At the conclusion of our Betclic review, it’s fair to say that the choice of whether to sign up to Betclic is a matter of personal taste.
Negatives include a lack of horse racing betting and no welcome bonus to sweeten the deal. The positives include a wide range of sports and markets, a cash out option, and a UK license.
What Betclic does offer that not many bookmakers don’t is the chance to land a big bonus on accumulators with between five and 16 selections.
That’s why, if you’ve got a winning acca in mind, it could be worth signing up and placing it with Betclic to try and land that bonus. Of course, if you’re on a big winning run, it’s also another bookmaker where you can spread your stakes around.
