The top four teams in the Premier League do battle this weekend, and the results of Arsenal vs Leicester and Man City vs Spurs could go a long way to deciding this year’s title race. We’ve got tips for those two games, plus Sunderland vs Man United, Swansea vs Southampton, and Aston Villa vs Liverpool.
Sunderland vs Manchester United (Saturday 12.45)
4 wins for Manchester United and 2 draws in the last 6 renewals suggest that Sunderland won’t be looking forward to this. Manchester United are also slowly finding their form, and really should have won their last 3 way games, though drawing twice. Man City and Liverpool have also come here recently and won, and this could be another nail in Sunderland’s Premier League coffin if, as expected, United win.
Manchester United win @ 4/5 (Betfred, Betvictor, Paddy Power, Stan James)
Swansea vs Southampton (Saturday 3pm)
Southampton have really found their form recently and, having won the last two renewals, they’ll be hopeful of notching another win. However, the most interesting statistic is that there’s been less than 2 goals in the last 3 renewals, whilst there’s also been less than 2 goals in 4 of Southampton’s last 5 away games, and 3 of Swansea’s last 5 home games.
Less than 1.5 goals @ 7/4 (Betfred, Betvictor, Paddy Power, William Hill)
Arsenal vs Leicester (12pm Sunday)
Whatever the result, Leicester will still be top of the league come Sunday night. And it’s hard to think that they’re not going to be competitive, meaning I’m happy to lay Arsenal in the hope that Leicester can at least get a draw.
Lay Arsenal @ 1.8 (Betfair Exchange)
Aston Villa vs Liverpool (Sunday 2pm)
Liverpool have made a habit of winning this fixture with 4 wins on the trot, and the 13/15 for a Liverpool win looks fair enough. However, in the quest for value, as they’ve won 3 of those 4 games to nil – the 19/10 for that result looks the bet.
Liverpool to win to nil @ 19/10 (Boylesports, Betvictor, Betway)
Manchester City vs Spurs (Sunday 4.15pm)
Spurs have been playing brilliantly away from home recently, and beat City 4-1 at White hart Lane earlier in the season, but whatever form they’ve turned-up in for this fixture in recent years they’ve gone home empty-handed, losing 5 on the spin. This is also a must win game for City, and they can rise to the occasion at 23/20.
Man City @ 23/20 (Betfred, Coral)
