2015 NFL Preseason Week 2 Preview And Picks

Published on August 21, 2015 by Daniel

Green Bay Packers 1-0 @ Pittsburg Steelers 0-2

Preview

The Packers have won four consecutive division titles and the Steelers finished in the top spot of the AFC North last year. Both teams consistently contend for playoff spots, but looking to make it back to the Super Bowl this year by adding talent at key spots on their rosters. The Packers have one of the best, if not the best, quarterbacks in the league but still need to find a reliable tight end and help on the defensive line. The Steelers will be looking to find talent for their defensive backfield and D-line.
For teams like the Packers and Steelers who are usually in the mix for their division championship, anything short of the Super Bowl is a disappointment. The Packers are the favorite, according to most odds, to win the Super Bowl this coming season. However, do not count the Steelers out of the action yet, it is a long season.

Dallas Cowboys 0-1 @ San Francisco 49ers 0-1

Preview

Dallas is loaded with talent and always looks poised to make a Super Bowl run but has fallen short of expectations the last several years. San Francisco has been the center of chaotic attention in recent years with the departure of Jim Harbaugh as their Head Coach. Both teams seem to find a way to be in the middle of controversy consistently but hope to change that with a positive showing during the preseason.
Dallas needs to replace the loss of running back DeMarco Murray and find a few key players on the defensive side of the ball. Dallas led the pack in their division last year but struggled in the playoffs, much to the dismay of owner Jerry Jones. San Francisco finished up at just 8-8 in 2014 and looks to turn things around by becoming a force in the NFC West once again. However, they will have their hands full with plenty of stiff competition in the West from the defending champions Seattle Seahawks and the rising Arizona Cardinals.
