Yesterday the New York Racing Association (NYRA) published their 2018 racing schedule, featuring a total of 229 racing days across it racetracks of Aqueduct Racetrack, Belmont Park and Saratoga Race Course.
Saratoga Race Course will host a 40-day meeting from 20th July to 3rd September with racing taking place every day except Tuesdays. This 40-day meeting will include the Grade 1 Whitney (it’s 91st time) and the Grade 1 Travers (the 149th edition).
Meanwhile racing at Aqueduct is scheduled to take place four days per week in January and February, with three days per week during March.
Belmont Park will host a 54-day spring/summer meeting from 27th April through to 15th July with it’s headline racing being the $1.5 million Belmont Stakes on 9th June.
Belmont will also host the 36-day Fall Championship from 7th September to 28th October.
The 2018 NYRA schedule will close with 38 days of racing from 2nd November with a simulcast of the Breeders Cup World Championships from Churchill Downs.
